An engaging workshop where you'll dive into the world of educational gaming through the lens of "Sibel's Journey." In this interactive session, you'll start by playing the mini-game concepts featured in the game, gaining firsthand experience of their educational potential. You'll then embark on a creative journey, working in pairs or small groups to design your own mini-game concept. Through discussions and hands-on activities, we'll explore the role of mini-games in enhancing the learning experience for young people aged 11+ and their effectiveness in educational gaming. Beyond Visuals: First steps into Game Audio Design - Bring your own MIDI controller if you wish! (not essential)

Description:

Join us for an exciting workshop with Gabriel Gallardo-Alarcon and Markus Zierhofer AudioCreatures as they guide you on a journey through the world of game audio and sound design. With a focus on hands-on learning, this workshop is perfect for aspiring audio designers, as well as experienced audio enthusiasts. You will learn about the workflows and tools used by audio professionals every day to create immersive soundscapes, from the initial concept to the implementation into games. For the active part itself we will use Reaper as a DAW, laptops will be provided. If you want to bring your own equipment or MIDI controller, feel free to do so! Just take notice that in the 2h timeframe we won’t have time to make huge amount of assets or complete music tracks.
