Exploring Godot:

A Quickstart Guide to Game Development

Moderator:

description:

Together we will explore the Godot game engine, showing you essential functionalities for creating games. While the first part will be guided to get you started quickly, there will be some time for free experimentation towards the end, encouraging you to explore the engine on your own. While I will give you a rough overview of GDScript (the scripting language used in Godot), I can not teach you programming from scratch in this limited time. Ideally you should already have experience with object-oriented programming. Requirements: A laptop with Linux, Windows or macOS (for all supported systems, see https://godotengine.org/download/ ). While you can download Godot during the event, I'd encourage you to download the latest stable release already in advance.
